As a church, we are committed to our values: Gather, Give, and Grow.
As a church, we are committed to our values:
Gathering with neighbors around the table
Giving generously to the neighborhood
Growing together in our relationships with Christ
It is great to see that we are living into these values and more neighbors are discovering God's love through the BLVD! In fact, so many people and their children are calling BLVD their home that we need to make more room in our worship service by launching an additional service.
Starting September 11, we began to have two worship services, 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM. We want the BLVD to be a place where people come to be fed, both spiritually and physically.
As more neighbors come to gather with us, we need to make more room at our table and make the room we have more functional. Our goal is to have space where we can have intimate gatherings around tables–whether it be our communion table or our dinner table. However right now we don’t even have a place to legally prepare and serve a meal. We serve our community every other Friday through the neighborhood food distribution, but our current space can not be used to repackage the food from industrial-size packages to family-size portions. We want to use our kitchen in every way possible to serve our community, including being able to prepare food on site. Today this is not possible.
So what are we doing about it?
We have prioritized the kitchen update as this season’s step to empower the BLVD in fulfilling its mission to Gather, Give, and Grow. This capital campaign will allow us to upgrade to a health department licensed kitchen so that we can prepare, serve, and gather together with our neighbors. How? These updates will cost about $350,000.
There are a few ways that you can give. You can give online at this website. Make sure to select Capital Campaign so that it goes into the right fund. You can also pick up a Capital Campaign envelope in the service and give by cash or check in one of the drop boxes. Finally, you can always write “Capital Campaign” in the memo section of your check and drop it in the offering.
