Addiction is more than just dependence on substances or harmful behaviors—it's something that touches every one of us. Whether we're chasing after approval, control, material possessions, or unhealthy habits, we are often caught in the grip of idolatry—elevating something in our hearts to a place only God should occupy. At its root, addiction is a form of idolatry, drawing us away from our true identity and wholeness in Christ.
In this Bible study, we will explore how these false gods enslave us and fracture our relationship with God. But in Christ, there is hope for recovery, healing, and restoration. Through His grace, we can break free from the chains of sin and find true freedom in a life centered on Him.
This study invites everyone—not just those struggling with traditional forms of addiction—to examine the ways addiction, idolatry have taken root in our hearts. For more information, email Bruce at fennemabruce1@gmail.com.
