To develop, coordinate, and lead the Boulevard Church community in worship and audiovisual technology in a way that helps people discover God’s love. 


The Worship Arts Director will be responsible for faithfully executing the BLVD’s in-person and online worship experiences with excellence for our faith community both near and far. This person will work closely with the lead pastor to receive vision and direction for each worship service and lead the volunteer team in that direction. The Worship Arts Director must be a visionary and a creative leader who has an ability to communicate that inspires people around them to join in the pursuit of the greater vision to discover God’s love with their neighbors. 



  • A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing, and personal relationship with Him
  • A commitment to the mission, vision, and worship philosophy of the Boulevard Church
  • Demonstrated excellence and experience as a worship leader
  • Proven skills in the area of audiovisual technology. 
  • Some theological and biblical training is helpful .


  • Relational and pastoral presence in the church and surrounding community
  •  Heart for the spiritual formation of those in the congregation and volunteering
  • Ability to recruit and build a volunteer base 
  • Engaging, encouraging, and enthusiastic presence while leading worship for a growing church
  • Proficient vocal skills and instrumental training
  • Capacity to manage and organize multiple teams and tasks at the same timeUnderstanding of technology as it relates to worship (i.e. sound, lighting, computers, pro presenter, video projection, etc.)
  • Ability to incorporate other art forms and execute multicultural worship expressions
  • Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate on a team
  1. Plan the corporate worship services of the BLVD in collaboration with the lead pastor and do so with prayer, conceptual forethought, and theological accuracy 
  2. Lead, develop, recruit, and care for volunteers who serve on the following teams related to the position: 
    • Worship
    • Audiovisual
    • Stage design
    • Host
    • Communion
  3. Implement, coordinate, and execute 
    • All aspects of worship planning that have an intentional multiethnic and multicultural expression and are musically appropriate
    •  Special service planning throughout the year
    • Weekly worship rehearsal 
  4. Develop volunteer leaders to use their gifts on the worship and A/V teams
  5. Implement stage design for all seasons and sermon series 
    • Ensure that the stage looks inviting and on brand with the BLVD aesthetic and doesn’t hinder the experience of on-line viewers
  6. Assist with guest follow-up for guests who are interested in becoming active volunteers 
  7. Attend staff meetings and other staff/leadership events as required
  8. Develop and implement a process for events being held in the building that may require the use of BLVD audiovisual equipment
  9. Maintain department expenses as budgeted and produce accurate record keeping
  10. Be our in-house audiovisual “expert” 
    • Ensure that worship services are streamed and published on Youtube and Facebook and that video and audio quality is distraction-free in order for people to discover God’s love with their neighbors
    • Have a working knowledge of other programs and platforms (i.e. Propresenter and Lightkey) in a way that can help train others to maintain a quality worship experience
    • Continually explore ways to improve the BLVD’s online worship experience
  11. Execute other Audio and visual needs for the church's programs and discipleship such as worship nights, young adults nights, and youth worship
  12. Keep weekly update about online views as it relates to worship services online
  13.  Keep a clean, and organized inventory of A/V gear
    • Keep a running list of gear that needs to be purchased to improve the quality of worship in person and online
  14. Assist with other duties and responsibilities as needed and/or assigned

This position is classified as full time and would report directly to the Lead Pastor of the Boulevard Church.
