We all know that election season can be difficult and cause tension in relationships. At The BLVD, we want to walk alongside you and give you the tools to engage with the people around you who vote like you and don’t vote like you. As we travel on this road toward Election Day, we will offer a series of learning opportunities to help you navigate.

Navigating Difficult Conversations: A Community Dialogue

July 16, 6:30 PM

In this class, you’ll learn how to navigate difficult conversations and practice new strategies for communicating with those who may think differently than you.

Diversity Summit: Bridging the Gaps

September 22

This event will work to continue to engage the BLVD community in our discussions around Diversity and Discipleship. We will begin to look at the history of the political landscape in our country. We will explore this through the lens of how the policies and practices of government shape multicultural communities! The goal is to clarify how we got to our current political moment (how has 'then' informed our 'now'). This will equip us to answer the question: "How does my faith in Jesus impact how I engage in politics and political discussions?"
